Top reasons I prefer the SEC or B1G are an extra $20 million or so & sched.

Just look at the AD revenue charts each season and it's crystal clear that the financial advantages of being in either of those leagues over the ACC are tremendous. We COULD do it the hard way and recruit 20,000 more Golden Hokies or leave this poorly run conference behind the first chance we get. Furthermore, I would much rather be in a B1G East or SEC East division. OSU, Michigan, PSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, etc. are much more intriguing matchups than what the Coastal provides.

Anyhow, for all their woes, Maryland is now bringing in a ton more money than VT from athletics AND they are in the black financially. That is before a major infusion of money from their new TV contract too.
